-The officiating was pretty brutal tonight. The officials missed plenty of legit calls and "made up" for it by making several bogus calls.
-One of those bogus calls was Matt Cooke's boarding minor against Barrett Jackman late. This isn't Jackman's first rodeo. He knows Cooke is an easy target for drawing calls like that. He sold that call hard. He might have been legitimately injured, but if so, he made a miraculous recover and played three shifts in overtime. There's no way Cooke should even hear from NHL discipline czar Brendan Shanahan. |
